Scatter count determines the initial award

Pragmatic Play’s Sugar Rush product page lists five scatter counts and their respective feature awards. Three scatters trigger 10 free spins; four award 12; five award 15; six award 20; and seven award 30. The exact scatter placement rule and any additional retrigger conditions should be checked in the active version’s Help panel.

A scatter award is distinct from a cluster win. A player should not use a cluster paytable to estimate scatter value, and should not treat an almost-trigger as a partial feature. Free spins are awarded only when the game’s trigger condition is met. A prior near miss does not make the next spin more likely to trigger the feature.

What persists through a bonus round

The signature feature is the persistence of marked multiplier locations. Winning symbols can mark spots during tumbles; during free spins, those locations and their multipliers remain for the duration of the feature round. New winning symbols on marked cells can increase a spot under the game’s rules, so the bonus can build on previous spins as well as tumbles within one spin.

A marker that persists is not automatically active on every spin. It must be used by a winning combination for the multiplier to affect a result. A free spin may end without a cluster, and the feature round’s total depends on the actual sequence. The player cannot choose where the next symbols appear or force a winning combination by extending play.

Retriggers and bonus rules

The public product description states how many spins the initial scatter count awards, while third-party hosted copies of the game rules describe additional spins for scatter hits during the feature. The deployed game’s rules screen should be treated as controlling because builds and operator settings can vary. Check whether the feature can retrigger, how many additional spins each scatter count awards and what happens if a maximum payout is reached.

Do not assume that every operator enables the same feature-buy option or that a promotion covers free-spin rounds. Bonus terms may exclude certain stake types, game modes or feature purchases. Read both the game’s rules and the operator’s promotional terms before accepting an offer.

Reading the total bonus result

The final feature result is the sum of wins recorded during the free-spin round under the active game’s settlement rules. A player may see individual spin results, tumble chains, multipliers and a final total. Compare that final amount with the account balance after the round settles. If the total appears inconsistent, save the round reference and the time before starting another spin.

A visible total is subject to a maximum win rule if one applies. A public copy of the game rules describes a 5,000× bet cap for the original, but the cap should be confirmed in the live Help screen and operator terms. A cap is not an expected bonus result; no number of free spins guarantees a payout.

Free spins are still chance-based play

The feature can be vivid because sticky multipliers and repeated tumbles make the grid’s history visible. That visual continuity can tempt a player to think a large multiplier is “almost ready.” The multiplier only matters when a future winning cluster uses the marked location. An accumulated feature board does not predict that outcome.

Set a session budget that includes any feature cost before play. If spins are automatically triggered or autoplay is running, track the total amount exposed. Avoid chasing a scatter trigger or buying repeated features to recover a previous loss. Choosing not to continue is always an option.

Pragmatic Play’s current Sugar Rush page describes the original game’s 7×7 tumbling grid, clusters of 5–15+ matching symbols, multiplier spots up to 128×, and a free-spins feature triggered by 3–7 scatters. Its June 2022 launch announcement describes the original game and its cluster mechanic. Sugar Rush 1000 and Sugar Rush Super Scatter are separate products with different multiplier and maximum-win values.

The public product page does not show every configuration detail. Copies of game rules hosted by operators or other third parties can document a particular build, but they do not prove which RTP, bet range or feature setting is active at a Ghana operator today. Read the Help or Information panel in the exact game instance. Where values come from dated or hosted rules, this guide labels them as version-specific rather than universal.
