A 7×7 grid with 49 symbol positions

The original Sugar Rush plays on a 7×7 grid, giving 49 visible positions at the start of a spin. A win is formed by a group of matching symbols that touch horizontally or vertically. Five is the minimum cluster size described in the official launch material, while the current product page describes clusters of 5–15+ matching symbols. More connected symbols can produce a higher prize according to the symbol-specific paytable.

The grid format changes how a player reads the board. There are no conventional lines to trace from left to right. A group can appear in many shapes, as long as matching symbols stay connected through horizontal and vertical sides. A diagonal-only chain does not establish the required connection. The in-game paytable is the authority for the exact value of each symbol at each cluster size.

Counting a connected cluster carefully

Suppose three matching candies form a horizontal chain, and two more attach above the middle cells. If each touches the existing group by a side, the group contains five matching symbols and qualifies under the minimum rule. A sixth matching symbol touching that group joins the same cluster. A same-colour candy that only touches at a corner is not connected through a side, so do not count it by appearance alone.

This illustration explains adjacency only; it is not a payout promise or an image from a live game. The exact grid can contain multiple symbol types, and multiple separate groups may be possible on the same result. The game rules determine how distinct winning clusters are counted, how overlapping groups are handled, and how their prizes add. Confirm these details in the active rules screen rather than guessing from a static screenshot.

Symbols and cluster size matter together

A qualifying group does not have one universal value. The amount depends on the symbol type and number of matching symbols, as shown in the paytable. A cluster of five high-value symbols and a cluster of five low-value symbols can have different values even though both meet the same threshold. The stakes and coin denomination also affect the cash amount shown for a result.

The provider’s public game description says base-game clusters of 5–15+ can pay up to 150×. That is the published top base-game cluster range, not a promise that any cluster approaches 150×. The multiplier-spot mechanic can additionally affect a winning result when a cluster lands on marked positions; that feature has its own rules and ceiling.

What happens after a cluster is paid

Winning symbols are removed from the grid and the remaining symbols tumble into the spaces. New symbols arrive from above to refill the grid. A fresh adjacency scan then checks whether another group of at least five matching symbols is present. If so, another win may occur without a new paid spin. The sequence ends when no additional winning cluster forms.

A multi-tumble chain is still a result from the original spin. The game history may show the final accumulated amount for the chain or separate details by event, depending on the interface. Keep a record of the accepted stake and final game history if you need to compare a screen with the account balance. Do not treat the number of cascades as a count of separate bets.

Cluster geometry and multiplier spots

A group can be a straight run, a block, a corner, or an irregular connected shape. When winning symbols disappear, their former locations can be marked. A later cluster may cross one or more of those locations, which is how a position multiplier can affect a subsequent win within the same spin. The grid is therefore both a cluster board and a record of positions already involved in winning tumbles.

The multiplier is attached to a location, not permanently to a particular candy symbol. A different symbol that lands in that cell may be part of a later cluster. In the free-spins feature, the game carries the marked spots across spins within the bonus; in the base game, spots are cleared after the tumble sequence. These distinctions matter when comparing base and bonus play.

Avoid over-interpreting visible cluster shapes

A near miss can look close to a winning group, especially when four symbols sit next to one another. But a near miss is not a partial payout and does not mean a fifth symbol is likely on the next spin. The random outcome of a later spin is not controlled by the visual shape of the previous grid. Similarly, a few large clusters in a demo session do not establish a dependable frequency.

Use screenshots to learn adjacency, not to forecast. If you are studying the interface, note the minimum cluster size and the symbol paytable. If you are deciding whether to wager, recognize that the stake can be lost without a qualifying cluster. Choose limits before a session and do not increase the stake to chase a grid pattern.

Ghana operator checks: a licence entry is not a game listing

The Gaming Commission of Ghana publishes a licensed-operators register with trade names, operation types and licence dates. When checked on 29 October 2026, the public register included 1XBET, BETIKA, BETWAY and SPORTYBET in betting and/or online-casino categories for the 2026 period. Register entries and categories can change, so use the Commission’s current page when checking an operator.

A register row does not say whether Sugar Rush appears in a brand’s live game catalogue, is enabled for a particular customer, or works on a particular device. The tracked destinations on this site were supplied by the publisher. We did not create accounts, inspect logged-in catalogues, deposit, test withdrawals or contact operator support. Check the legal entity in the operator’s terms, the relevant Commission entry, the exact game title and current account eligibility separately.

Version and source notes

Pragmatic Play’s current Sugar Rush page describes the original game’s 7×7 tumbling grid, clusters of 5–15+ matching symbols, multiplier spots up to 128×, and a free-spins feature triggered by 3–7 scatters. Its June 2022 launch announcement describes the original game and its cluster mechanic. Sugar Rush 1000 and Sugar Rush Super Scatter are separate products with different multiplier and maximum-win values.

The public product page does not show every configuration detail. Copies of game rules hosted by operators or other third parties can document a particular build, but they do not prove which RTP, bet range or feature setting is active at a Ghana operator today. Read the Help or Information panel in the exact game instance. Where values come from dated or hosted rules, this guide labels them as version-specific rather than universal.

Risk and responsible-play note

Sugar Rush is a chance-based slot. A cluster, tumble, scatter or multiplier describes how the game can settle; none is a method for predicting a future spin. Set an affordable money limit and a session time before opening a gambling site. Treat the whole stake as money that can be lost. Keep essential bills, borrowed funds and emergency savings out of gambling.

The Gaming Commission of Ghana recommends knowing how games work, setting budget and time limits, taking breaks and not depending on “good luck” strategies. Stop if play is no longer enjoyable or feels difficult to control. This guide is not medical, legal or financial advice; if gambling is causing harm, pause and talk with someone you trust or a qualified local support service.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum Sugar Rush cluster?

Five matching symbols connected side-to-side, according to Pragmatic Play’s launch description.

Do diagonal candies connect?

The provider describes horizontal or vertical connection; diagonal-only contact does not satisfy that description.

Does each cluster pay the same?

No. Symbol type and cluster size determine value under the paytable.
